Afghanistan: Wisconsin Army Guard transportation unit provides security for convoys

Jacquie Field, logistics officer with the 32nd Canadian Brigade Group, drives a Light Support Vehicle Wheeled truck off a trailer of the 121st Trans. Co. Aug. 13, 2012. Soldiers from the company transported the vehicles from Canadian Forces Base Petawawa, Ontario, to Toronto as part of exercise Steadfast Warrior, a training exercise between the 32nd CBG and the Pennsylvania Army Guard.

Army Capt. David Harvey, a former Marine and now chaplain with the Rhode Island Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment currently deployed to Camp Buehring, Kuwait, volunteered to provide chaplain services to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261 (Reinforced), 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, while they conducted sustainment training in Kuwait.

Adam Priebe, both assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 143rd Infantry Regiment (Airborne), provide security outside the Shigal Girl's School in Kunar Province, Afghanistan while members of Provincial Reconstruction Team Kunar visit the school to check on the status of construction. The members of Company A serve as the PRT's security element and have earned high praise from the PRT commander.

Cody Lausch, Hannaford, N.D., cut a piece of detonation cord on the demolition range at Camp Grafton South, south of Devils Lake, N.D., June 21. The North Dakota Army National Guard's 817th Engineer Company (Sapper), Jamestown, are working with their Ghanaian partners in an exchange visit during annual training. The Sappers are using crater charges and other explosives. North Dakota and Ghana are linked through the Department of Defense-sponsored State Partnership Program.
