Air National Guard band gains international fame while deployed

Air National Guard band members assigned to the 571st Air Force band, Missouri National Guard, perform an acoustic version of a popular song while deployed to Southwest Asia in early August 2011. The band, Sidewinder, is a 10-member band that quickly gained fame after the a video of the performance was uploaded to YouTube.

He witnessed the stage fall and jumped over the guard rail to give aid to the injured.

New York Air Guard Wing selected to conduct MQ-9 pilot training for Air Force

Members of the 174th Fighter Wing Maintenance Group prepare a MQ-9 Reaper for its initial taxi at Wheeler-Sack Army Air Field at Ft. Drum, N.Y., on June 30, 2011. The pre-taxi activity took place in temporary hanger space provided by the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division. This milestone represented the unit's first step toward flying the MQ-9 from its detachment at Ft. Drum. The wing is based at Hancock Field in Syracuse, New York.
