Kulis Air National Guard rescue squadrons conduct training missions five days a week around the Alaska airspace. Most rescue training operations occur during the nighttime hours which help Guardsmen become more efficient and increase survivability in combat.

About 50 servicemembers and four aircraft from U.S. bases and Europe will participate in the AeroExpo Marrakech Jan. 27-30, 2010. U. S. Air Force aircraft at the event will include two F-16s from the 169FW and a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 151st Air Refueling Wing of the Utah Air National Guard.

The Humvee, along with 90 tons of other equipment and about 40 soldiers from the 3rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), are deploying to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, for earthquake relief efforts as part of Operation Unified Response. The Fort Knox, Ky.-based unit is expected to stay in Haiti for up to six months.
