The visit came within weeks of the U.S. government’s formal renewal of its partnership with Kazakhstan, extending the 24-year-old legacy of cooperation for five more years.

Ohio National Guard conducts water crossing exercises with Hungarian forces

GYOR, Hungary - Military vehicles belonging to 1st squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany, are ferried over the Danube River during a rehearsal river crossing at Gyor, July 4. The ferry is employed by 837th Brigade Engineer Battalion, Ohio National Guard, and 37th Engineer Regiment, Hungarian Ground Forces. The exercise, Szentes Axe, a Hungarian-led exercise under Saber Guardian, facilitates the freedom of movement for 2nd Cavalry Regiment as the unit moves into Romania for more training with NATO Allies and partners.
